Spring and Tulips

Today, I wish to write about tulips. It was that time of year when I started thinking about various spring flowers: daffodils, crocuses, snowdrops, and tulips, of course.

Somehow I rarely paint any of these flowers in the middle of summer or in the fall.

In the spring, however, seeing them all reigning in gardens and forests, it is challenging not to try to recreate their beauty on paper.

And so I painted more tulips. These are more flowers symbolising the arrival of spring as well as the love, delicacy, and fragility of life.

The specific meaning of tulips is defined by their colour, but I will not elaborate on this topic.
